The Tonik Courtney Women’s Long-Sleeved Cycling Jersey is perfect for riding on days when the weather is not always warm as we would like it to be. Made of a poly/spandex blend, the fabric is very soft and comfortable to wear. I choose the navy/lime jersey, and I love the fabric, which offers UPF sun protection. The lime topstitched accents, at the V-neckline, seams and hems, are perfect against the marled blue. The hem is cut long in the back, and stayed put when I was riding a little lower over the handlebars. The pocket is generous, and will hold keys, tissue, and snacks. I put my phone in the pocket, and it was long because of the phone’s weight, but didn’t hang up on the back of the saddle. The invisible zipper is truly invisible, and gives the back of the jersey a very smooth look. There is a second model in the long sleeves, in white/grey, which I almost selected, but I’m very happy with the navy/lime version.
One of the details I liked was a little tag on the sleeve hem. On the outside, there was the Tonik “O”, and on the inside, this quote: “She Believed She Could So She Did”. For me, this sums up why I exercise in general, and more specifically, cycle. Although the sleeves were a bit long on my shorter arms, I love the tag so much I can’t bring myself to turn up the hem - I would lose this detail! Unless it is really hot out, long sleeves are my preference, and since I can push them up - and they stay up - it’s a win-win.
So, for those days when you need just a little extra coverage, this long-sleeved jersey will fill the bill, and would also be perfect as a top for running, walking, or as a coverup. Recommended!
